Tree Maintenance in Ward 36

The City of Toronto Urban Forestry Branch has developed a more pro-active approach to tree maintenance throughout the city. Historically, requests for service were generated by residents for tree maintenance. In an attempt to work in a moe efficient manner, the city has now instituted an Area Maintenance program by Ward. This service focuses on removal of deadwood and split or damaged limbs, clearing sight lines that impede pedestrian and/or vehicular trafic. This program commenced in Ward 36 in March. Meadowcliffe Drive Erosion Control Project

Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) commenced the Meadowcliffe Drive Control Class Environmental Assessment to address shoreline erosion and slop instability issues affecting residents located on the Scarborough Bluffs. The project study area spans approximately 1,400 m of shoreline from Bluffers Park, East Beach to Bellamy Ravine. The Environmental Study Report (ESR) has been finanalized and will be filed with the Ministry of the Environment.
