New online licence and permit web tools improve customer service
The City of Toronto has launched new online services that will save businesses requiring a licence or a permit much-valued time and energy. The Municipal Licensing and Standards division has launched three web applications aimed at improving customer service.

Eastern Gardiner Expressway public consultation survey
The City of Toronto and Waterfront Toronto are working to transform the waterfront into a world-class location in which to live, work and play. As part of that work, an Environmental Assessment (EA) study is underway for the eastern Gardiner Expressway and Lake Shore Boulevard corridor between Jarvis Street and the Don Valley Parkway.
A survey of pedestrians, cyclists and drivers who use this corridor has started.

The City of Toronto has a new and improved Live Green Toronto website. The new site - at livegreentoronto.ca - offers tips, tools and resources to help Torontonians live green and take action on climate change.
The new site is divided into easy-to-navigate sections spanning topics from how to green your life and neighbourhood to ways to get involved in your community, and the people and organizations that are making a difference. City launches new automated water meter program
The City of Toronto officially kicked off its Water Meter Program on April 28th with the installation of the first automated water meter in a residential home under the new program. This mandatory initiative will install or replace the meter in every home and business in Toronto (approximately 465,000 meters) over the next six years.
The new meters will be able to securely transmit data remotely to data collection units across the city, which will then be securely transmitted to a central database, effectively eliminating the need for City staff to enter people’s homes to obtain a water met ... read more
