Parking Ticket Cancellation Guidelines
Toronto City Council has approved the public release of the City's parking ticket cancellation guidelines. The guidelines outline the circumstances in which a City of Toronto parking ticket may be cancelled and the evidence required to support a parking ticket cancellation.
The City of Toronto uses established guidelines to help staff make informed, consistent decisions about parking ticket cancellations. Reasons for cancellation may include bylaw exemptions, an error in a parking ticket, an individual having a valid permit, or a medical emergency.

Toronto Public Library Booking Fees Increase
Room and theatre booking fees are increasing at the Toronto Public Library. The new fees will apply to bookings placed after July 1, 2010. This is the first increase to these fees since 2003.
New Fees for Meeting Rooms and Auditoriums
Non-Profit - $15/hour; Auditoriums in prime locations - $55/hour
Commercial - $110/hour; Auditoriums in prime locations - $125/hour
Theatres - Non-profit - Fairview and York Woods - $185/day; Palmerston - $95/day
Commercial - All locations - $125/hour
$30 set-up and breakdown fee is standard for all users at Toronto Reference Library

Help Plan the EX!
The Canadian National Exhibition is looking for young people between the ages of 16 and 24 to join their Youth Advisory Group. The Youth Advisory Group allows young people to become involved, and helps the CNE better understand their interests and opinions.
The Youth Advisory Group meets once per month during the school year and discussion topics range from CNE-related subjects to general interests. In exchange for their time, volunteers receive dinner, get TTC tickets for each meeting, CNE passes, letters of reference, volunteer-hour letters and a fun but valuable experience.

New online licence and permit web tools improve customer service
The City of Toronto has launched new online services that will save businesses requiring a licence or a permit much-valued time and energy. The Municipal Licensing and Standards division has launched three web applications aimed at improving customer service.
